  • Healthy Recipe For Gluten-Free Pumpkin Protein Cookies

The biggest mistake you can make with your "diet" is skip a meal.  Not only will you be slowing metabolism but you will probably end up over eating later on or bingeing.  Eating often helps increase metabolism which makes you burn calories all day long.  It also helps you stay full by stabilizing blood sugar.

When too much time goes by without eating, you have low blood sugar.  Guess what happens when you have low blood sugar?

Yep, you got that right girl! You CRAVE SUGAR.  And once you have low blood sugar it is very very very hard to not give in to the cravings.  So take my advice, and don't allow yourself to get hungry.  Eat a small healthy meal or snack every 3-4 hours and you will have stable blood sugar and less cravings.  Then it is much easier to have strong will power.

So, I know you are busy and I don't expect you to cook 6 meals a day, that is why I am giving you this healthy recipe for these pumpkin protein cookies.  These are so good and so healthy but you won't believe that they are healthy. That is how good these are.  Make these and you can have 3 as a snack and you will feel satisfied and healthy.  They are great for on the go also.

What is your favorite healthy snack?  One of my new Favorite healthy snacks is the Maple-Cinnamon Protein Yogurt that I posted on My Facebook Page last week.  Its so easy to make and so yummy.  If you did not get it, make sure you check out my Facebook Page daily, as I post tons of healthy recipes, workouts and exercise videos every day.

In a food processor, blend all ingredients except chocolate chips.  Pulse until it becomes well incorporated and at the end pulse in the chips as to just mix in.  Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and roll the mixture into little balls and freeze for at least an hour.  Keep in the freezer.

  • Goey Fruity-Oat Bar

As you know, I eat really healthy all the time, but as you also know, I LOVE TO EAT.  So I have to make sure that I truly enjoy everything I put in my mouth.  That is why every week I make a menu from my Eat To Be Fit Healthy Recipes Book and make sure that all my meals are healthy but delicious.

On the weekends I give myself some slack to have a little fun, but always in moderation.  I think most people fail to see results because they eat good and exercise Monday through Friday and on the weekends they eat so poorly that it basically cancels out all the hard work throughout the week.

Now I am not about to waste my time so I make darn sure I am moderate about my "FUN" on the weekends.  And healthy snacks like this always help me.  All my amazingly yummy and healthy recipes are on My Pinterest Boards. so make sure you are FOLLOWING me on Pinterest.  I have been getting so many REPINS, FAVORITES AND LIKES on my Pins of healthy recipes, it makes me so excited so THANK YOU!

If you didn't know, my weakness is CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES.  I have to have some every week or I will die.....LOL

Anyhow, lately I have been making so many yummy and healthy snacks that I don't even feel the need to eat anything bad.  Its like I can have my treat and not feel bad about it.  I LOVE THAT.  On Fridays, that I don't cook (its our eat out night), I make a few healthy treats and it really helps me stay clean yet enjoy myself.

This healthy bar will help you with that.  Now with snacks like the ones I am posting on my blogs all the time, you can feel like you have a treat and you don't have to feel bad about it.

If you like this idea, SHARE this healthy recipe on your Facebook, Twitter, Digg, Pinterest, etc.  Just click on one of the buttons above, and help me SHARE the awesomeness of eating healthy and enjoying it.

Ok, enough of that, now here is the recipe.  Please, make sure to come back and tell me what you thought of it.

Goey Fruity Oat Bars:  Healthy Recipe

1/2 cup oats (I use Gluten-Free Red Bobs Mill)

    1/2 cup Sun Butter

1/2 cup Freeze dried blue berries or raspberries

    1/2 cup almonds

    1 tbsp Maple Extract

1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I use BB3 Formula 1)

    1 tbsp Flax meal

    1/2 cup coconut flakes

    2 tsp cinnamon

    1/4 tsp baking soda

    2 ripe bananas, mashed

    Stevia to taste

Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.  In a food processor, add the coconut, banana, flax meal, cinnamon, maple extract, baking soda and sun butter, and Stevia.  Process until booth.  Add the freeze dried fruit and process a little more.  Remove from processor and place in a bowl and add 1/4 of the almonds and oats and mix well.  Line a 9 by 13 baking dish with parchment paper and spread the mixture.  Sprinkle the top with remaining almonds and bake for about 18 minutes.  Let sit for 10 minutes before you slice into bars.

This bar is so good, its chewy, gooey, fruity, nutty.  In other words its just perfect.  Its totally different than My Love At First Bite Granola Bars, but just as good.  So I URGE you to try them.

  • Healthy Recipes: Coconut-Chip Gluten-Free Cake

The other day one of my awesome clients asked me "Michelle, what can I have for dessert after dinner"?

My response is the same as it normally is.............

You don't need DESSERT after dinner.  Really, that is just a bad HABIT that you have to get over.  And if you spend 2 weeks without "dessert", you will get used to it and not feel the NEED for something sweet after dinner.

And I really do feel this way.  If you are eating enough throughout the day, there is no reason why your body "NEEDS" something sweet after you just ate a full meal.  So my goal is to teach my clients to eat enough in each meal and not let too many hours go by without eating a small healthy meal.  Because when more than 3 hours go by without eating, you have LOW BLOOD SUGAR, and guess what your body NEEDS then?

Yup, SUGAR!  So PREVENT that by eating a small meal every few hours.

I know thats a bit harsh, but hey if you want results and you want a lean and toned body, thats what it takes.

Does that mean you should NEVER have something SWEET?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!  Come on......  You know me better by now! Thats why I share all these yummy recipes with you.  But you have to make sure you eat them at the right times and that you are not OVER EATING.

So today, I want to share with you a healthy recipe that is delicious and every ingredients is good for you, but unlike most of my recipes, it does not have protein in it.  Nico and I have eaten this as a snack the last few days in the afternoon as a healthy treat and No..... I don't feel bad about it.  I eat protein in all my other meals and I feel great about all the healthy ingredients in  it.

Notice, I did not eat this as a dessert after a whole meal.  I ate this as a snack!  I just want you to use these recipes wisely.

Ok, enough about all this, time to try this recipe.  Now this is so good, I NEED you to make it ASAP.  And then I would LOVE if you took a PICTURE with your PHONE, and POST IT ON MY FACEBOOK PAGE and tell me what you and your family thought of it.  By next MONDAY, I will choose the best picture and give that person a FREE MICHELLE MARIE FIT GIFT.

Healthy Recipe For Coconut-Chip Gluten-Free Cake

    1 tsp Coconut Extract

    3 tbsp Almond milk

1/2 cup freeze dried fruit of your choice (I used raspberries)

    4 tbsp chocolate chips (I used dairy-free, gluten-free)

Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees.  In a large mixing bowl, combine all the dried ingredients (1st 6 ingredients and stevia).  Add in the cil, eggs and extracts.  Combine well and add the almond mil a little at a time and combine until thick and smooth  Add in the fruit and chocolate chips and fold in well.  Spread onto a 8x10 baking pan lined with parchment paper.  And smooth with the back of a spoon until its distributed evenly.  Bake for 20-24 minutes or until done.  Cut into bars and keep refrigerated.

These cookies are so good that they can be dangerous, so here is my WARNING!  You must have self control because even though they are HEALTHY & GLUTEN-FREE, at the end of the day, if you eat 10 of them in one sitting, you are not going to be moving towards your goal.

  • Love At First Bite With These Granola Bars

    Who doesn't like GRANOLA BARS?

Everybody loves granola bars, but most of the ones you buy at the store are full of sugar and fat.  So stay away from those.

I am always looking to find or make great yummy but healthy snacks for my son Nico.  And I always see moms giving their kids granola bars, in an attempt to give them a healthy snack, and it kills me that they have no idea how bad they are for them.

  • Healthy Recipes For A Blueberry Protein Cake

Everyone seems to be trying to eat GLUTEN-FREE, and I don't blame them.  Honestly, I am not gluten intolerant but I try to eat mostly Gluten-free

Well, here is my thinking.........  If there are diseases that are caused by this food (celiac disease), I certainly don't want to eat it.  There are people that are autistic that are put on Gluten-Free Diets and get significantly better.  So, why eat it anyways.

Also, gluten is a high inflammatory food for the gut and if you have inflammation in the gut, it is hard to burn fat effectively.  I don't know about you but with all the great foods out this day that are gluten-free and with all the great recipes (like this one) and great natural foods that don't have gluten, I don't think it is a big loss to omit gluten from my diet.

So to hook you up, here is another gluten-free recipe for a healthy snack.  Its delicious, easy to make, gluten-free, and super healthy.

Healthy Snack Recipe:  Blueberry Protein Cake

    3/4 cup egg whites

6 tbsp Vanilla Protein powder (I used BB3 Formula 1)

    3 tbsp coconut flour

    3 tbsp unsweetened apple sauce

    3 tsp vanilla extract

    3-4 stevia packets

    1/2 cup freeze dried blueberries.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.  Mix all ingredients except the berries in a big bowl and incorporate well.  Fold in the berries and pour into 3-4 ramekins and bake for about 27 minutes or until golden brown and cooked inside.

    How Delicious does this look?

P.S.  Thanks for all the great feedback on My Facebook Page about the Cinnamon Roll Muffins.  I am so glad you guys loved them. They are definitely one of my favorites.  I eat them with a good cup of cinnamon pastry coffee.  Deelish, and so hard to believe its a healthy snack.

Also, I wanted to make sure you have gotten all the healthy recipes for healthy snacks that are on My Pinterest Boards.  I know you guys are all REPINNING them onto your boards, so I am glad that you are enjoying them.  All the healthy recipes are pinned on My Pinterest Boardsso if you missed any on Facebook or Twitter or here on my Site, they are all on there for you to pin on your boards and keep them organized.

Eating every 3 hours sounds like a lot of work, but if you are prepared with meals and snacks, it can actually be quite easy and simple.  That is why I am always trying to come up with easy, quick and yummy ways to make meals and snacks.

Its so much easier to lose weight, get fit, and stick to your diet plan when you have healthy snacks and meals available (that you enjoy).  I know it definitely makes it easier and more enjoyable for me. Cuz I love to eat.

By the way, if you have been trying to lose weight and you feel like you are eating less and eating better foods and you are exercising but you don't feel like the weight loss is where it should be, it is possible that you are eating some foods that are not good for you.  There are some foods that may sound healthy but they are incredibly inflammatory and if you eat them, even a little, it is possible that you CAN NOT BURN FAT.  Inflammation does not allow for effective fat burning, which means NO WEIGHT LOSS.

So let me share with you a list that I compiled of the 5 FOODS that you should absolutely get rid of in your diet if you would like to see any kind of results.  Because eating these foods cause so much inflammation in your digestive system that its close to impossible to lose weight.  I also have a list of 5 FOODS that are crucial for you to include in your diet if you want to be able to burn fat and build lean muscle.  I will give these PDF lists to you for FREE and a video with what I have found to be the 5 BEST ABS EXERCISES.  The ones that I have done to get ABS that I never had before (after 2 babies).  Go to this link to get all of this for FREE: PDF & ABS Video

By the way you may also really like these CHOCOLATE CHIP PROTEIN BALLS.  I love chocolate, so I really love these.  There are so many yummy snacks.  I make tons of them from My Eat To Be Fit Healthy Recipes Book on a weekly basis.  Check them out...

And look what people say about them....
